Highlights of the 2009 Show2009 Competition WinnersEvent Organisers ICHF, together with BSG ( British Sugarcraft Guild) and the Cake Craft and Decoration Magazine worked together to bring you the very best in cake decoration to enjoy with experts from home and abroad showing you all the latest creations and finishing touches for your cakes.

Demonstrations Galore!The pre-bookable Demonstration Programme ran throughout the two days and featured the familiar faces of the UK Cake Craft and Sugarcraft industry, together with international demonstrators Tal Tsafrir-TalTalim from Israel, Jill Maytham and Vanessa Padyachee from South Africa and Marcela Sanchez from Brazil.
International ExhibitorsIn addition to the international demonstrators mentioned above,there were also international exhibitors Fiesta Cakes, Cake Connection plus Cakes n Supplies by Ximena - all from the USA.
Supplies For Every ProjectThere were just under 100 exhibitors selling all the very latest cake decorating supplies and products with an array of cutters, moulds, hand tools, mats, cold porcelain equipment, boards, stencils, sugar paste, chocolate, ribbons, veiners, books and much more. There was something for everyone, from beginners to the expert sugarcraft artists.
Cake Craft and Decoration magazineThe editorial team from Cake Craft & Decoration Magazine were there and this year displaying cakes from the magazine over the past year. The team were on hand to offer lots of tips and advice and answer all those burning questions!
A Taste of SugarVisitors were able to enjoy a 'A Taste of Sugar' a hands-on, drop-in workshop with Dawn Gemmell and her team from University College Birmingham who offered a workshop especially designed for newcomers to the craft. Also, Floral Demonstrations with Ann Parker and her team plus Maisie Parrish who was signing copies of her new book Fun and Original Character Cakes.
British Sugarcraft Guild (BSG)Members of the British Sugarcraft Guild were on hand with a selection of BSG goods on sale. Free demonstrations of various aspects of sugarcraft were given by Guild experts throughout the show, plus displays from around the regions, membership area, dedicated competition classes, plus the popular Demonstration Forum hosted by industry celebrities. They also invited all overseas visitors to sign their Visitors Book.
BSG Birmingham Cinderella Coach and HorsesPat Russell with members of the Birmingham branch of the British Sugarcraft Guild displayed a magnificent 12 ft long CINDERELLA COACH and 4 HORSES set on a sparkly, cobbled road with a sugarcraft figure of Cinderella inside! Display Designs provided the acrylic supports for the display.
Cake Competitions: 'Put your skills to the test'All competitors who entered the Competition Classes this year received vouchers from Ceefor Cakes, Renshawnapier Limited and Jem Cutters. Visitors were able to meet the Competition Judges on Sunday morning between 11.00-13.00 for lots of friendly advice and tips and there was an International Class for overseas entrants.
