Demonstrations Galore!

The pre-bookable Demonstration Programme runs throughout the two days and features the familiar faces of the UK Cake Craft and Sugarcraft industry, together with international demonstrators Tal Tsafrir Tantalim from Israel, Jill Maytham and Vanessa Padyachee from South Africa and Marcela Sanchez from Brazil. Learn new techniques or develop an existing skill - from fairies and Christmas angels to bikinis and beach hats in sugarpaste, royal icing and chocolate work! There will be a whole range of skills to see and experience, making a visit to this show a must!

International Exhibitors

In addition to the international demonstrators mentioned above, we also have international exhibitors Cuqui from South America and Fiesta Cakes and Cakes n Supplies by Ximena from the USA.

Supplies For Every Project

Exhibitors will be selling all the very latest cake decorating supplies and products with an array of cutters, moulds, hand tools, mats, cold porcelain equipment, boards, stencils, sugar paste, chocolate, ribbons, veiners, books and much more. There is something for everyone, from beginners to the expert sugarcraft artists, with just under 100 exhibitors showcasing thousands of products.

Cake Craft and Decoration magazine

Come and meet the editorial team from Cake Craft & Decoration Magazine.
This year they will be displaying cakes you will have seen in the magazine over the past year and the team will be on hand to offer lots of tips and advice and answer all those questions you have ever wanted to ask!

The Cake Decorators Kitchen

Demonstrators Elaine Haines and Lisa Slatter will be in the The Cake Decorators Kitchen each day of the show with mouth watering demonstrations including the Wilton Courses, the PME Professional Diploma, decorated cupcakes, brownies and cookies. The Cake Decorators kitchen is organised by Knightsbridge PME and is sponsored by KENWOOD

The Bakers Boutique Visitors will be able to enjoy a 'A Taste of Sugar' a hands-on, drop-in workshop with Dawn Gemmell and her team from University College Birmingham who will be offering a workshop especially designed for newcomers to the craft. Also, Floral Demonstrations with Ann Parker and her team.

British Sugarcraft Guild (BSG)

The British Sugarcraft Guild will be providing support and inspiration to all its current and potential new members. Displays from around the regions, membership area, dedicated competition classes, plus the popular Demonstration Forum hosted by industry celebrities. They would also like to invite all overseas visitors to the show to sign their Visitors Book which will be found on their stand.

BSG Birmingham Cinderella Coach and Horses

Pat Russell with members of the Birmingham branch of the British Sugarcraft Guild will be displaying a magnificent 12 ft long CINDERELLA COACH and 4 HORSES set on a sparkly, cobbled road with a sugarcraft figure of Cinderella inside! Display Designs will be providing the acrylic supports for the display. Keep checking here for photos of this project in progress.

Cake Competitions: 'Put your skills to the test'

Why not enter one of this year's Competition classes and put your cake decorating skills to the test. Last year over 300 entries were received which made it the largest event to date. We are aiming to match this total in 2009 so take a look at the schedule and start planning your masterpiece now!

Cake Competitions: Vouchers for All Entrants

All competitors who enter the Competition classes this year will receive vouchers from the following companies:
Ceefor Cakes: A free Nuffin Fancy Cake Box for every entrant to be collected from their Stand No. A07 at the show. Renshawnapier Limited: For entrants to Classes G, J and R: £1.00 off the purchase price of a 2.5kg box of New Luxury Belgian Chocolate Paste (White or Chocolate) redeemable from the Renshawnapier Stand No. B29 Jem Cutters: £5 voucher for all entrants to Class E redeemable from the Jem Cutter Stand No. D30

Meet the Competition Judges on Sunday morning between 11.00-13.00 for lots of friendly advice and tips!

Cake Competitions: Overseas Visitors

If you are planning to visit from Overseas we will be pleased to welcome you. Why not enter the International Class and put your country and your decorating skills to the test on an International stage. Every overseas visitor who enters the competition will receive a certificate to show that it has been on display at Cake International 2009. Also, the British Sugarcraft Guild would like to invite you to sign their Visitors Book which will be found on their stand.

Advance Tickets

Tickets for the show are cheaper in advance so don't forget to buy them at least one week before the show. A two day ticket is also available (in advance only).
