Highlights of the 2009 Show!Crafts for Christmas offered a shopping experience with a difference, where visitors could find some beautifully made contemporary and traditional crafts, often not found on the High Street. Up to 200 talented craftsmen & artists from all over the UK were at the show and were happy to pass on their top tips and expertise!Special features at the show included the Prima Magazine Craft Theatre, Festive Food & Drink, British Toymakers Guild and exciting Craft Demonstrations.
PRIMA Craft TheatreWith the help of their sponsor Canon, the Prima magazine team showed visitors how to add some extra special creative touches to their Christmas celebrations in their own Prima Craft Theatre with presentations held throughout each day of the show.Canon showed visitors how to create calendars, personalised decorations, cards and gift tags using photos from their SELPHY Compact Photo Printer. Plenty of experts were on hand to give hands-on demonstrations and provide some great show offers!
British Toymakers Guild (NEC only)The British Toymakers Guild were at the show in Birmingham again this year - back due to popular demand! The Guild has been promoting excellence in the design and manufacture of toys since its formation in 1956 with their members representing some of the very best independent Toy Makers currently working in this country. Show visitors discovered an exciting range of traditional & contemporary toys and lots of advice and encouragement from the experts! www.toymakersguild.co.uk
Festive Food & DrinkThe specialist Festive Food & Drink aisle was bursting with a wide variety of exquisite foods including munchy seeds, exotic nuts, cheeses, marmalades & chutneys, fabulous cakes, wines, pasties and chocolates. Even the strongest willed had to struggle to make it through this splendid area without trying one of the delicious delicacies on offer!
