Highlights of the 2008 Show

No need to struggle to find gifts with a difference for those hard-to-buy-for friends and family, Crafts for Scotland and Crafts for Christmas are just brimming with unique products which you won't find on the high street.

Do YOU have cash in YOUR attic?

Then bring your hand held items or photo images to the NEC where you can meet the TV experts Tom Keane and Jonty Hearnden and have a FREE valuation from the show's resident Antiques Valuation Team. There will also be the opportunity to enter your items into the forthcoming Pre Christmas Cash in the Attic Auction so you can raise some cash for Christmas from your attic!

Meet the experts

Get into the festive mood and enjoy stunning crafts made in the time honoured way with individual care and attention to detail and speak to the actual craftspeople who created them. Up to 200 talented craftspeople and artists will be brought together under one roof just in time for Christmas! The show presents an ideal opportunity to get ahead with your seasonal shopping and purchase some high quality, unusual gifts.

NEW FOR 2008 (NEC only) FREE Antiques Valuation

Tom Keane

Meet the Cash in the Attic Roadshow team with Tom Keane (Thursday & Friday) and Jonty Hearnden (Saturday & Sunday) on hand to give advice and sign autographs - together with our Antiques Valuation Team who we are delighted to be welcoming to the show for the first time this year.

Each show visitor can bring hand held antiques for FREE valuation and learn of their history. There will be an opportunity to enter your antiques and collectables into a forthcoming exciting Cash in the Attic auction sale.

The Antiques Valuation Team will be at the show each day.

PRIMA

Prima has its very own craft theatre, so join us to get some handy tips and ideas on how to make your Christmas extra special this year. If you want to make your gifts that little bit more creative and unique, or decorate your house with original craft ideas then come along to our demonstration and workshop area where our presenters will show you how. You can try out the products before purchasing and ask any questions or queries you may have. Click here for a full timetable of demonstrations and workshops.

Our new title sponsor Canon will be showing you how to personalise your crafting activity using pictures printed with their Selphy compact photo printers. Also using the most beautiful, affordable, high-quality stamps and accessories you can buy, Stampin' Up! will be showing you how to make greeting cards, scrapbook pages, home décor, and more. Our very own expert, Natalie Linton, will also be showing you wonderful ideas for the Christmas season.

British Toymakers Guild (NEC only)

We are very pleased to welcome the British Toymakers Guild to the Crafts for Christmas show. The Guild has been promoting excellence in the design and manufacture of toys since its formation in l956 and their members represent some of the very best independent Toy Makers currently working in this country. Visitors will discover an exciting range of traditional & contemporary toys - everything from nursery toys right up to sought-after items for adult collectors (after all, sometimes toys are far too good to be limited to children!) and everything in-between.

'Sometimes traditional toys are not just for Christmas - they are truly tomorrow's heirlooms today.' More information about the Guild can be found on their website www.toymakersguild.co.uk
